All 31 tracks from the extended Anthology version of Taylor Swift’s (USA) No.1 album The Tortured Poets Department debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 on 4 May 2024 – all but two of them inside the Top 50.
Swift claimed the entire Top 10 – with, in descending order, “Fortnight” (feat. Post Malone), “Down Bad”, “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart”, “The Tortured Poets Department”, “So Long, London”, “My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys”, “But Daddy I Love Him”, “Florida!!!” (feat. Florence + The Machine), “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” and “Guilty as Sin?” – just as she’d done 18 months previously, on 5 November 2022, with songs from her 12th studio album Midnights.
With an additional four tracks starting in positions 11-14 on 4 May 2024, Swift locked down every place in the top 14 – a feat not even she could replicate with songs from Midnights. And with established hit “Cruel Summer” at No.41, in its 51st week on the Hot 100, Swift extended her record for the most simultaneous chart entries all told – 32.
The global phenomenon smashed her own record of 26 simultaneous new entries on the Hot 100, achieved by the tracks from her re-recorded studio album Red (Taylor’s Version) on 27 November 2021.
American country star Morgan Wallen (36 new entries on 18 March 2023) is now the only act to achieve more simultaneous Hot 100 hits than Taylor Swift, although just 27 of his chart hits that week were new entries.
