Taylor Swift’s (USA) towering tally of 232 career chart entries on the US Billboard Hot 100 soared to 263 in a single week when all 31 tracks from the Anthology version of her record-shattering 15th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department (TTPD), flooded the countdown in the week ending 4 May 2024. Incredibly, for the second time in 18 months, Swift locked down the Hot 100’s entire Top 10 with tracks from her latest album: “Fortnight” (feat. Post Malone; No.1), “Down Bad” (No.2), “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart” (No.3), “The Tortured Poets Department” (No.4), “So Long, London” (No.5), “My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys” (No.6), “But Daddy I Love Him” (No.7), “Florida!!!” (feat. Florence + The Machine; No.8), “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” (No.9) and “Guilty as Sin?” (No.10). The unstoppable Pennsylvanian had previously achieved the same feat on 5 November 2022, with 10 songs from her No.1 album Midnights.
Out of Swift's 263 US Hot 100 entries,12 have reached No.1, including seven chart-topping debuts (a female record shared with Ariana Grande, as of 4 May 2024). These include “Shake It Off”, “All Too Well (Taylor’s Version)”, “Anti-Hero” and “Fortnight”. Swift also holds the female Hot 100 records for the most hits that have made the Top 5 (36) and the Top 10 (59), as well as the most Top 10 debuts (38) – figures that were all given a boost when songs from The Tortured Poets Department were released.
