On 19 July 2023, Chen Yuxi won her third consecutive gold medal in the 10 m platform at the age of just 17. She was competing at the 2023 World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka, Japan. It was her fifth gold overall at the world championships, having also won two titles in the 10 m synchronized platform competition alongside Quan Hongchan.
