The fastest ground speed by a remote-controlled (RC) micro drone quadcopter is 500.01 km/h (310.6 mph) and was achieved by Xu Yang (China) in Foshan, Guangdong, China, on 3 September 2026

The PROWESS-V3 is Xu Yang's latest evolution of his original record-breaking drone, achieving a speed improvement of over 150 km/h within a year and a half. His success inspired a new wave of challengers — including the young engineering team that ultimately claimed his title. Now, Xu Yang returns with renewed determination to reclaim the record and push the absolute limits of Sub-250 micro-drone performance.
