The youngest current queen consort is the Druk Gyaltsuen (Dragon Queen) Jetsun Pema of Bhutan (b. 4 June 1990), wife of Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan. The couple married on 13 October 2011 when she was 21 years 131 days old. As of 18 February 2025, Queen Jetsun Pema is aged 34 years 259 days.
Queen Jetsun Pema studied in Bhutan, India and the UK, and graduated from Regent's University London with a degree in International Relations, with minors in Psychology and Art History. The couple first met as children at a picnic and their romance blossomed when they were reunited years later. The Bhutanese royal family now has three children: Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck (b. 2016), Jigme Ugyen Wangchuck (b. 2020) and Sonam Yangden Wangchuck (b. 2023).
