The first Arab astronaut to travel into space (female) is Rayyanah Barnawi (Saudi Arabia) which she achieved on 21 May 2023.

Rayyanah boarded the International Space Station (ISS) as a part of a 10-day visit to carry out stem cell and breast cancer research. In a video filmed before her arrival at the ISS, she said "to the people around the world, the future is very bright. I would like you to dream big, believe in yourselves, and believe in humanity.".
