Loreen (Sweden, b. Lorine Talhaoui) triumphed at the Eurovision Song Contest for a second time on 13 May 2023, with the song “Tattoo”. She had previously won the event in 2012 with “Euphoria”.

Ireland’s Johnny Logan is the only other performer with two wins to his credit, in 1980 and 1987.

Loreen has appeared at Melodifestivalen – which selects Sweden’s song for Eurovision – four times, with “My Heart Is Refusing Me” (2011), “Euphoria” (2012), “Statements” (2017) and “Tattoo” (2023).

The 2023 Eurovision Song Contest was held in Liverpool, UK. Ukraine were unable to host the event – following their 2022 triumph with the Kalush Orchestra’s “Stefania” – due to the ongoing war in the country.
