On 22 May 2023, 393 days after making his solo debut on the platform, BTS vocalist Jimin (South Korea, b. Park Ji-min) reached 1 billion streams on Spotify to smash the 409-day record set by bandmate Jung Kook two months earlier. Jimin’s six-track EP “FACE”, uploaded to Spotify on 24 March 2023, was the catalyst for his surge in popularity, with support from the singles “With You” (feat. Ha Sung-woon), “VIBE” (TAEYANG feat. Jimin), “Set Me Free Pt. 2”, “Angel Pt. 1” (feat. Kodak Black, NLE Choppa, JVKE & Muni Long), the five-track “Like Crazy” EP and the official releases of the singles “Promise” (2018) and “Christmas Love” (2020), which had only been available to stream on SoundCloud.

Jimin debuted on Spotify as a solo artist with “With You” (230.6 million streams) on 24 April 2022. “Like Crazy” (181.4 million) was the singer’s second most popular release on the platform, as of 22 May 2023. The two oldest songs listed in Jimin’s Spotify discography are "Promise" (released on 31 December 2018) and "Christmas Love" (24 December 2020). Both tracks were "unofficially" released on SoundCloud before getting a full release on Spotify on 6 March 2023, to build interest in the release of the “FACE” EP on 24 March.
