The most aluminium can tabs collected for recycling in one year is 1,654.70 kg (3,648 lb) and was achieved by Jace Weber (Canada), in Mildmay, Ontario, Canada, on 15 August 2023.

Jace is a 10 year old boy who was recently diagnosed with Autism. He began collecting aluminium can tabs in August of 2022; hoping to collect enough to donate towards a wheelchair for someone in need. He soon inspired his family and peers in making a positive difference for others in need, and was able to collect an estimated six-million in total within the year. All proceeds from supplying the recyclable material were then donated to charitable causes.
