Most International Emmy Awards - Country

The country which has won the most International Emmy Awards is the United Kingdom with 104 awards as of 2002 across all nine categories including News Documentary and Popular Arts.  The next awards will be presented on 24 November 2003.

The winners include: 2002 News Documentary award for the Fall of Kabul (BBC News, UK), 1984 Children & Young People Award for Wind in the Willows (Thames TV, UK) and 1989 Drama Award for Traffik (Channel 4, UK).

The categories are: Drama Series, TV movies/miniseries (both under Drama pre-2002), Arts Programming (pre-2002 this was split into Arts Documentary and Performing Arts), Documentary, News Coverage, Children & Young People, Popular Arts, Directorate Award and Founders Award.
