Most Emmy Award nominations for a magic TV series

The 17 TV specials in the series The Magic of David Copperfield (CBS, USA), have received 36 Emmy nominations. The first was broadcast on 27 October 1978, while the last aired on 3 April 2001. Starring the American illusionist David Copperfield alongside a host of celebrity guests, their grand-scale visual tricks include levitating a Ferrari, making the Statue of Liberty disappear and the magician himself seeming to walk through the Great Wall of China.

The figure of 36 nominations reflects original TV specials, and does not include compilations such as 1994's David Copperfield: 15 Years of Magic.
