Most Emmy Award wins for a magic TV series

The 17 TV specials in the series The Magic of David Copperfield (CBS, USA), have won 18 Emmys. The first was broadcast on 27 October 1978, while the last aired on 3 April 2001. Starring the American illusionist David Copperfield alongside a host of celebrity guests, their grand-scale visual tricks include levitating a Ferrari, making the Statue of Liberty disappear and the magician himself seeming to walk through the Great Wall of China.

The figure of 18 awards reflects Emmys won for original TV specials, and does not include compilations such as 1994's David Copperfield: 15 Years of Magic.
