Economou accepted the trophy at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, which was held in the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, USA, on 5 February 2023.
The category's full title is "Best Score Soundtrack For Video Games & Other Interactive Media". It was added to the list of categories ahead of the 65th ceremony after years of lobbying by the videogames industry. A handful of videogame soundtrack albums have been nominated for Grammy Awards other categories in the past including Civilization IV for Best intrumental arrangement accompanying vocalist in 2011, Journey for Best Score Soundtrack in 2013, and Kirby Super Star for Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Capella in 2022.
