The longest single-event triathlon (female) is 373.3km and was achieved by Gemma Sharples (UK) in Redcar, UK on 24 June 2023.

The attempt took Gemma 32 hours and 17 minutes to complete. She swam 10.7km, cycled 289km and ran 73.6km. Gemma set out to beat the record her husband Steven Green had set the year before. Steven Green (UK) previously held the record for the longest single-event triathlon (male), setting the record at 364.4 km (226.428 miles) on 13 August 2022. His record has now been surpassed by Will Davis who competed the triathlon alongside Gemma.
