The longest duration juggling three objects whilst on a ball with an object on the head is 35 min 9 sec, and was achieved by Nguyen Khac Hung (Vietnam), in Hanoi, Vietnam, on 21 June 2023.
Hung's talent was discovered at around the age of 9 years old. At that time, he was attending the Tam Viet Centre for Autistic Children and as a daily exercise, the centre encouraged the children to juggle as a method of improving balance and calming their energy. Hung started with just juggling 3 balls and slowly improved his skills by juggling more balls while balancing on different objects from balancing boards to medicine balls. He found that he experienced great joy in this skill. People are very inspired to see Hung perform and he has a special way of motivating other children as well as adults.
He has experienced communication issues until the age of 9 where he had a breakthrough; and these days, he even gives short motivational speeches. As a child with severe autism, it took Hung more time and effort to achieve what he has from communication to daily activities, so receiving a Guinness World Record title is a proud moment for him and his family. They want to show the communities in Vietnam that everyone is special in their own way and autistic children are still able to become professional performers.
Hung is already preparing to apply for other records around balancing and juggling and has encouraged his peers at the Tam Viet Centre for Autistic Children to also apply for a record and show off their own unique talents.
