“BZRP Music Sessions Vol. 53”, featuring DJ/producer Bizarrap (Argentina, b. Gonzalo Julián Conde), was Shakira’s (Colombia, b. Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll) record-setting 13th No.1 on Billboard’s Latin Digital Song Sales chart. “Vol. 53” debuted at the top on 21 January 2023 to break a tie with fellow Colombian J Balvin (b. José Álvaro Osorio Balvín), who had 12 No.1s between 2017 and 2021.

Shakira’s 13 No.1s were produced from 35 charted tracks, 25 of which reached the Top 10. J Balvin has had considerably more hits (86) and Top 10 entries (55). “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)”, featuring the South African collective Freshlyground, registered 42 non-consecutive weeks at No.1 between 29 May 2010 and 7 May 2011 and holds the record for the longest-running chart-topper on Latin Digital Song Sales by a female artist. “Danza Kuduro” by Don Omar & Lucenzo, the track that replaced “Waka Waka” at the top on 14 May 2011, is the longest-running No.1 overall at 94 weeks.
