The largest display of wind chimes/bells consists of 10,000 wind bells and was achieved by Iijima Wind Bell Street Executive Committee (Japan), in Kamiina, Nagano, Japan on 12 August 2023.
Iijima town used to have a population of more than 10,000, but now the population has decreased to about 9,000. The town attempted to set a Guinness World Records title by displaying 10,000 wind bells in the hope that the population of the town will exceed 10,000 again.
