The heaviest celery weighs 42.0 kg (92 lb 9 oz) and was grown by Gary Heeks (UK) and ratified at the CANNA UK National Giant Vegetables Championships, staged at the Malvern Autumn Show in the Three Counties Showground, Malvern, Worcestershire, UK, on 29 September 2018.

Heeks, of Henley in Oxfordshire, faced stiff competition from fellow grower Sam Purvis, who submitted a celery that broke the previous record – of 33.9 kg (74 lb 12 oz) for a celery grown by Ian Neal (UK) in 2011 – just five minute before Heeks presented his own super-sized specimen.
