Most viewed show on Netflix in one week - hours (non-English)

The most watched series on Netflix in a single week – in any language – was the first season of Squid Game, which logged 571.76 million viewing hours in 27 September – 3 October 2021.

Squid Game was seen by 111 million subscribers in its first month. The series spent 11 consecutive weeks in the Netflix Top 10, occupying the top spot for its first nine weeks. At its peak, it was a Top 10 hit in 94 countries.

As of February 2023, the next most popular show in the world based on weekly hours viewed is the US-made Wednesday, with 411,290,000 hours logged in the seven days ending 4 December 2022. The second most-viewed non-English series is season one of the South Korean coming-of-age zombie apocalypse horror All of Us Are Dead, which registered 236,230,000 hours of viewing in the week ending 6 February 2022 – the most watched non-English show in its debut week, with 124,790,000 hours watched in the week of its launch on 24 January 2022; by way of comparison, the first week of Squid Game only registered 63,190,000 hours of viewing.
