The most powerful seismic survey ship is the Ramform Titan (a record shared with its three sister ships Atlas, Hyperion and Tethys). Built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Nagasaki, Japan between 2013 and 2017, the ships of the Titan class have 26.4 mW of available power, which allows them to tow up to 24 steerable streams of seismic instruments in their wake.

The delta-shaped hulls of the Titan class are 104.2 m long and are very stable due to an extremely wide beam of 70 m (229.7 ft) at the stern, which allows the deployment of up to 24 steerable streams of recording instruments. Accommodation is provided for 80 persons and three diesel-electric engines provide a speed of 16 knots (20.71 km/h; 18.4 mph). In summer 2021, Ramform Hyperion towed a record length of 144.45 km on 18 streamers in the Barents Sea.
