The first female stunt coordinator to be nominated for a Creative Primetime Arts Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Comedy Series or a Variety Program is Shauna Duggins (USA), who was acknowledged for her work on Alias (ABC, 2001-06) at the 58th Emmy Awards ceremony on 27 August 2006.
Duggins was nominated for two episodes - "Reprisal" and "All the Time in the World" - but lost out to Jimmy Romano, stunt coordinator for E-Ring (NBC). However, she would eventually go on to win outright at the 2018 ceremony for her work on the Netflix series GLOW - the first ever win by a female stunt coordinator; she took home the trophy again the following year for the same show.
