All-rounder Deepak “Hurricane” Hooda won all of his first 17 One-Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) matches combined, playing for India in 2022. Hooda made his ODI debut against the West Indies in Ahmedabad, India, on 6 February and won all eight matches he played in the format up to 22 August 2022. His T20I debut against Sri Lanka in Lucknow, India, on 24 February began a sequence of nine consecutive T20I wins up to 7 August 2022.
Hooda's luck finally ran out when India were humbled by arch-rivals Pakistan by five wickets in the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup, at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on 4 September 2022.
Romania’s Satvik Nadigotla registered 15 consecutive wins after making his T20I debut – the only international format in which he’s played to date – against Türkiye on 29 August 2019. His winning streak came to an end against Cyprus on 13 July 2022. Several players, including Keith Miller's all-time record of 25 matches for Australia, have started their careers with more international matches unbeaten, but all have featured draws somewhere in the sequence.
