Three women have won four Olympic table tennis gold medals. Yaping Deng (China) was the first to do so when she won the singles and doubles in Barcelona 1992 and Atlanta 1996. Nan Wang (China) won the singles in Sydney 2000, the doubles in 2000 and Athens 2004 and the team event in Beijing 2008. While Yining Zhang (China) won the singles and doubles event in 2004 and the singles and team event in 2008.
