The most wins of the IKF World Korfball Championship is 10, by the Netherlands in 1978, 1984, 1987, 1995, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019. The Netherlands secured its 10th title by defeating Belgium 31–18 on 10 August 2019 in Durban, South Africa.
The Netherlands and Belgium have contested every final of World Korfball Championship since its inaugural event in 1978. The Netherlands have won every one, bar 1991.
