The tallest landmark sign is 23.59 m (77.39 ft 4.7 in) and was achieved by Dhafrah Region Municipality (UAE) in Liwa, UAE, on 26 January 2024.

The Liwa Sign stands tall as a reminder of the region’s enduring spirit and promising future. Positioned a top of high sand dune, it symbolizes not only a record-breaking accomplishment but also the heart of Liwa itself. The landmark, executed by the Municipality of Al Dhafrah Region, is 52 meters wide and 23.59 meters high. It is located on a hill that is 197 meters above sea level. It is designed in a distinctive and innovative way from a metal structure that weighs 49 tonnes to ensure its sustainability in accordance with the highest international standards and to protect it from the effects of natural factors such as wind, humidity, and earthquakes.
