At 73 years and 143 days, Dusty Baker (b. 15 June 1949, USA) became the oldest manager to win the World Series when he skippered the Houston Astros to a championship by defeating the Philadelphia Phillies 4–1 in Game 6 played at Minute Maid Park, in Houston, Texas, on 5 November 2022.
The previous oldest manager to win the World Series was Jack McKeon, who was 72 years 11 months and 2 days old when the Florida (now Miami) Marlins won it all on 25 October 2003. McKeon was born on 23 November 1930.
