The most tournament victories on a professional golf tour is 88, achieved by Kathy Whitworth (USA) on the LPGA Tour between 8 July 1962 and 12 May 1985.
Whitworth recorded her first LPGA victory at the 1962 Kelly Girl Open and her last at the United Virginia Bank Classic. She won at least one title a year between 1962 and 1978, a 17-year streak that has yet to be matched.
Her total of 88 titles is six more than Sam Snead and Tiger Woods’ PGA Tour record of 82, the most in men’s golf. Six of Whitworth’s 88 titles were majors.
