The most successful Call of Duty player is Ian “Crimsix” Porter (USA). Crimsix is a 38-time Call of Duty tournament champion, with a record-tying three world championship rings (2014, 2017 and 2020), and $1.4 million earned over his decade-long career in Call of Duty esports. Crimsix’s closest Call of Duty competitor is Seth "Scump" Abner (USA), who has 31 major tournament wins.

Crimsix’s Call of Duty career began with Black Ops 2 (2012, Treyarch) and ended with Vanguard (2021, Sledgehammer). His most successful periods came while playing for esports team Complexity (USA) and OpTic Gaming (USA), before he won his third world championship with the Dallas Empire (USA) in 2020.

29-year-old Crimsix announced his retirement from professional Call of Duty in September 2022, opting to become a full-time streamer and Call of Duty content creator. In his announcement video posted to YouTube, Crimsix said pro gaming was "the only thing I’ve truly known". Crimsix's total number of tournament victories, including smaller events, is 98.
