Oldest drag boat race champion

Paul Showman (USA) is recognized by the International Hot Boat Associaiton (IHBA) as being the oldest person to compete in an officially sanctioned drag boat race and to become the oldest IHBA Champion in the 12 second class at the age 83 in 1998. Showman's racing boat, The Legend, is a 50-year-old Garform built in 1949.
