Jovica Kozlica (Croatia) has won the Red Bull Paper Wings event – the official Paper Airplane World Championship – on two occasions, in 2006 and 2009. Both gold-medal wins were in the Distance category, with throws of 54.43 m (178 ft) in 2009 and 39.43 m in 2006.
The Paper Airplane World Championships were first held in 2006 and are contested every three years. Kozlica was the only winner from the 2006 event to defend their title in 2009.
