Matt Formston is a world champion Para Surfer and former Paralympic athlete, having represented Australia in para-cycling at the 2016 Rio Olympics. He was diagnosed with Macular Dystrophy at the age of five. IS2 is a classification for visually impaired challengers with a visual acuity range from LogMAR 1.5 to 2.58.

He took on this colossal challenge to demonstrate that one can overcome any obstacle in life, disability or not, with unwavering determination. As part of his preparation for this event he trained his breath capacity from 3 to 6 minutes of holding a single breath underwater!
