The first Halo 2 “Legendary All Skulls On deathless" completion was achieved by streamer JerValiN (USA) in a time of 6 hours 29 minutes 44 seconds on 3 August 2022.

Widely considered the hardest challenge in all gaming, Halo 2 “LASO deathless” involves completing the notoriously punishing campaign on "legendary" difficulty with all “skulls” on AND without dying even once. Skulls in Halo modify the game in some way. In this instance, enemies are even harder, ammo is more sparse and Master Chief’s famous heads-up display (HUD) - including the equipped weapon - is invisible. In the 18 years since Halo 2’s 2004 release on Xbox, no-one had ever published evidence of completing the challenge.

In early summer 2022, YouTuber Charles “Cr1tikal” White Jr. posted a $5,000 bounty to beat Halo 2 “LASO deathless”. When in July no-one had managed it, Cr1tikal upped the bounty to $20,000. A month later, streaming on Twitch to 12,000 viewers, JerValiN entered the Halo history books and took home the $20,000 prize. Now that’s how you finish the fight!
