Bad Bunny (Puerto Rico, b. Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) won Artist of the Year at the Billboard Latin Music Awards four times in a row between 2020 and 2023.

Nicknamed the “King of Latin Trap”, Bad Bunny scored his latest triumph at the 30th Billboard Latin Music Awards in Coral Gables, Florida, USA, on 5 October 2023. The other nominees were Fuerza Regida, Karol G, Grupo Frontera and Peso Pluma.

Bad Bunny’s seven trophies at the 2023 Billboard Latin Music Awards – including Global 200 Latin Artist of the Year and Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year (male) – were second only to Peso Pluma’s eight awards. The Artist of the Year award has been presented annually since the ceremony began in 1994.

Selena (1995–96), Enrique Iglesias (1997–98), Romeo Santos (2015–16) and Ozuna (2018–19) all won Artist of the Year for two consecutive years, but no more. As of 5 October 2023, Iglesias had the most Artist of the Year wins overall – five (1997-98, 2000, 2009 and 2011).
