This was matched by Stefanie Blendermann (Germany) with three wins in 2015–19, with her most recent two victories at the Minigolf World Championships held in Zhouzhuang, Jiangsu, China, on 23–27 October 2019.
Zodrow won in the women's Concrete category (1999), Women's Feltgolf category (2003) and Feltgolf Strokeplay (2013). Blendermann won in the Women's Feltgolf Strokeplay category (2015, 2019) and the Mixed Pairs, alongside Dennis Kapke (2019). Blendermann also won a WMF title in the Youth section in 2002, giving her four tournament wins overall.
The male record is four, accrued by Gunnar Bengtsson (Sweden) in 2017–19. He won at the World Adventure Golf Masters (in both the Men's and Overall categories) at the 2017 and 2019 events. His most recent win was claimed at the WAGM 2019 event held in Kungälv, Sweden, on 14–16 June 2019.
The WMF recognizes six tournaments as World Championship (WC) level events. These are: General Class, Youth, Under 21, Deaf Players, Seniors and the World Adventure Golf Masters (WAGM). The first World Championship was played in Karlsruhe, Germany, in 1989, held as part of the that year's edition of the World Games international multi-sport event where minigolf was a demonstration sport.
