All 14 of Taylor Swift’s (USA) US No.1 albums on the Billboard 200 have debuted at the top of the chart: Fearless (2008), Speak Now (2010), Red (2012), 1989 (2014), reputation (2017), Lover (2019), Folklore (2020), Evermore (2020), Fearless (Taylor’s Version) (2021), Red (Taylor’s Version) (2021), Midnights (2022), Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) (2023), 1989 (Taylor's Version) (2023) and, most recently, The Tortured Poets Department (TTPD), which went straight to the No.1 spot of the chart dated 4 May 2024 on the strength of 2.61 million equivalent album units, including 1.914 million traditional album sales and 891.34 million on-demand official streams.
Jay-Z (1998-2017) has also had 14 chart-topping debuts on the Billboard 200, and shares Swift’s record for the most US No.1 albums by a solo artist.
The Beatles are the only act with more US No.1 albums overall – 19 between 1964-2000 – but only all three parts of their Anthology series (1995-96) and their 2000 compilation 1 managed to start at No.1.
