On the Australian Recording Industry Association’s (ARIA) Top 50 Singles chart dated 31 October 2022, Taylor Swift (USA) claimed nine of the top 10 positions with new entries from her 10th No.1 album in Australia, Midnights. The tracks were: “Anti-Hero” (No.1 - Swift’s ninth Australian No.1 single), “Lavender Haze” (No.2), “Snow on the Beach” (feat. Lana Del Rey; No.3), “Maroon” (No.4), “Midnight Rain” (No.5), “You’re on Your Own, Kid” (No.6), “Bejeweled” (No.8), “Karma” (No.9) and “Vigilante Shit” (No.10). “Unholy” by Sam Smith and Kim Petras (No.7) prevented Swift from making a clean sweep of the Top 10 – a feat achieved on the US Hot 100 on 5 November 2022.
According to Universal Music Australia, Midnights was the country’s most streamed album in a week in ARIA history, and sold more week-one copies on vinyl (10,000) than any album had done previously.
