On 18 October 2025, Taylor Swift (USA) logged a 10th No.1 hit on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart when “The Fate of Ophelia” debuted at the top. The first track on Swift’s 12th original studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, amassed a record 92.5 million on-demand official streams (of the album’s weekly total of 680.9 million) in the US on 3–9 October 2025 to start at No.1.
According to data-tracking firm Luminate, “The Fate of Ophelia”’s 92.5 million on-demand official streams represent the biggest streaming week for a song in the US (post-UGC era), i.e., since Billboard removed all user-generated-content (UGC) streams from its streaming methodology in September 2020.
The first Streaming Songs chart was published by Billboard on 19 January 2013 to monitor America’s most streamed on-demand songs and videos on streaming services, and the most played radio songs.
