With the No.1 debuts of The Life of a Showgirl on the Billboard 200 and “The Fate of Ophelia” on the Hot 100 on 18 October 2025, Taylor Swift (USA) extended her lead as the act with the most simultaneous US No.1 starts – seven – on Billboard’s flagship countdowns.

Previously, Swift had scored a US chart double with folklore and "Cardigan” on 8 August 2020 (the first such instance in US chart history); evermore and "Willow” on 26 December 2020; Red (Taylor’s Version) and "All Too Well (Taylor’s Version)” on 27 November 2021; Midnights and "Anti-Hero” on 5 November 2022; and 1989 (Taylor’s Version) and “Is It Over Now? (Taylor's Version) [From the Vault]” on 11 November 2023; and The Tortured Poets Department and “Fortnight” on 4 May 2024.

The Billboard 200 and the Hot 100 were inaugurated, respectively, on 24 March 1956 and 4 August 1958.
