The largest and most elaborate jeweled egg is the Argyle Library Egg which stands 2ft tall and was fashioned from 37lbs of gold and studded with 20,000 pink diamonds. Designed by British jeweler Paul Kutchinsky, it took six British craftsmen 7,000 hours to create and has a price tag of £7 million ($12 million).
It was unveiled on 30 April 1990 before going on display at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, UK.
