The most gold medals at the World Women’s Curling Championship (individual) is 6, achieved by Alina Pätz (Switzerland) in 2012, 2015, 2019 and 2021–23 and Carole Howald (Switzerland) in 2014–16 and 2021–23.

Pätz won one of her golds as an alternate (substitute) in 2012; five of Howald’s six golds have come as an alternate. Both players were on the ice when Switzerland defeated Norway in the final of the 2023 tournament to secure their fourth world championship in a row.
