The shortest member of the Harlem Globetrotters is Jahmani "Hot Shot" Swanson (USA), who played his first game (wearing shirt number 9) on the team on 26 December 2017. Born with achondroplasia, Swanson is 4 ft 5 inches (134 cm) tall.

Swanson was joined in 2019 by his younger brother Justin "X-Over" Swanson, who also has achondroplasia, but is slightly taller. During matches, Swanson plays as a guard and is well known for winning one-on-one contests against players almost twice his size. He and his brother are the only current members of the Harlem Globetrotters (who are based in Atlanta, Georgia), who are actually from the Harlem neighborhood of New York City.
