The attempt took place at Matosinhos Beach in front of a live audience gathered for the festival’s opening concert. The 10-minute drone show featured a series of formations inspired by Porto, Portuguese culture, and aviation, culminating in the record-breaking sentence displayed for over 20 seconds just before the finale. The achievement was a celebratory standout moment for all in attendance, helping to launch the weekend with a sense of excitement and national pride.

The record is jointly held by Flock Drone Art and Air Invictus, recognising both the technical execution and the event platform that made the large-scale display possible. The collaboration showcased advanced drone coordination, creativity, and precise planning at scale. The aerial message (displayed in Portuguese) generally translates to, “3100 drones and a purpose: when we dream together nothing is impossible”, which reflects the collaborative spirit behind the record.
