The largest fly fishing rod measures 21.75m 71ft 4.5in in length (the reel measures 1.21m 4ft in diameter and 3.1 cm 1.2 in wide) and was assembled by Tiney Mitchell (USA) at the Pirate's Landing Restaurant, Port Isabel, Texas, USA on 12 June 1999.
