Up to and including the 27th National Television Awards (NTAs) on 13 October 2022, EastEnders (BBC) had won a total of 36 awards at the UK’s annual celebration of its most-loved TV stars and shows. This includes 12 wins for Best Serial Drama (1996–97, 2001–03, 2005–08, 2011, 2015–16), Most Popular Actress or Actor awards for Martine McCutcheon (1997), Martin Kemp (2000), Kacey Ainsworth (2002), Shane Richie (2003), Jessie Wallace (2003) and Lacey Turner (2007), and 12 Most Popular Newcomer statuettes between 1999 and 2018.

EastEnders’ Most Popular Newcomer winners: Tamzin Outhwaite (1999); Jessie Wallace (2001); Kim Medcalf (2002); Nigel Harman (2003); Charlie Clements (2006); Rita Simons (2008); Ricky Norwood (2011); Jacqueline Jossa (2012); David Witts (2013); Khali Best (2014); Maddy Hill (2015); Danny Walters (2018). Lacey Turner (2010–11, 2017) and Danny Dyer (2015–16, 2019) have also picked up awards for Best Serial Drama Performance.
