The longest religious circuit around a spiritual site as part of a pilgrimage is 85 km (53 miles) and goes around Lake Manasarovar in Tibet. The pilgrimage is made by Hindus, Buddhists, Jainists and members of Tibet's pre-Buddhist religion, Bonpo, who often go on to do the 53 km-(33 mile-) long on Mount Kailash in western Tibet.
Lake Manasarovar is at an elevation of 4,510 m (14,796 ft).
