The most downhill World Cup titles by a man is 5: by Nicolas Vouilloz (France) in 1995–96 and 1998–2000, and Aaron Gwin (USA) in 2011–12 and 2015–17. Gwin won three out of seven World Cup races in 2017, topping the podium on 26 August at the final race of the season in Val di Sole, Italy, to secure his fifth downhill title.
