There are five different videos for the track 'Timber ' (1998) by UK dance act Coldcut: the original mix, the EBN remix (New York), the LPC remix (Sweden), the Clifford Gilberto remix (Germany) and the Gnomadic remix (UK).
Coldcut offered the Timber track to video-makers to encourage them to remix videos in the same way that DJs and producers remix records.
Coldcut have been regarded as pioneers of the remixing concept since their radical reworking of US rappers Eric B and Rakim's 'Paid In Full' (1987) turned the track into a worldwide hit.
Swedish group the Cardigans produced three different videos for 'Lovefool' (1996): one European version and two US versions, one of which featured scenes from the film William Shakespeares Romeo And Juliet (USA, 1996).
