The tallest lighthouse built from bricks is the 64.8-m (212-ft-7 in) Świnoujście Lighthouse (53.9°N, 14.3°E) on the Baltic coast at the mouth of the Świna River in Świnoujście, Poland. It has a focal plane of 68 m (223 ft). The current tower, which contains 308 steps, was constructed in 1857.

A lighthouse was first constructed on this site in 1828, before being replaced 30 years later. The current structure was originally octagonal, before being rounded in the early 20th century. Although suffering some damage from retreating German troops towards the end of World War II, the lighthouse survived a worse fate as the occupying German lighthouse keeper reneged on his orders to destroy the lighthouse entirely; restoration work was carried out in 1959.

The tallest brick lighthouse in the USA, Cape Hatteras Light Station located on Hatteras Island near the town of Buxton, North Carolina, falls just a few metres short of Świnoujście Lighthouse, standing 60.5 m (198 ft 6 in).>
