According to Forbes' annual report on the world's richest heads of business, John Hammergren (USA) was the highest paid Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the 12 months from 1 June 2015 to 1 June 2016, with $131.19 million (£89.79 million) in compensation. Hammergren is chairman, president and CEO of McKesson Corporation (USA), which specializes in health care, medical technology and pharmaceuticals. He was elected president and CEO in 2001 and chairman in 2002.
