Mithali Raj (India) compiled 93 50-plus scores in 333 international cricket matches (314 innings) between 26 June 1999 and 27 March 2022. The majority of the prolific right-hander’s fifties came in One-Day Internationals (ODI; 71), including seven in consecutive matches in 2017.
Raj turned eight of her 50-plus scores into three figures, including seven in ODIs and a highest Test score of 214 against England on 15–17 August 2002.
Raj’s 71 50-plus scores in ODIs came in 232 matches (211 innings). She also hit 17 fifties in 89 T20 Internationals (84 innings) and five fifties in 12 Test matches (19 innings).
As of 10 June 2022, Raj held the record for the most runs scored in an international career (female) – 10,868 runs in Test matches (699 runs in 2002–21), One-Day Internationals (ODI; 7,805 runs in 1999–2022) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20I; 2,364 runs in 2006–19) combined between 1999 and 2022.
She is the leading run-scorer in women’s ODIs, and also achieved the longest One-Day International (ODI) career - male or female - of 22 years 274 days, from 26 June 1999 to 27 March 2022. Raj announced her retirement from all forms of international cricket on Twitter 8 June 2022.
